The key art for The Balloonist, an independent Dutch feature film, was designed to capture the film’s quirky charm and offbeat humour. With relatively unknown lead actors, the challenge was to create a visually engaging poster that communicated the story’s unique premise while maintaining the authenticity and character often associated with independent cinema.

Working within a limited production budget, the artwork was built primarily from on-set photography. To achieve a more distinctive and cohesive visual identity, bespoke landscape and sky photography was created specifically for the composition, helping to establish the film’s atmosphere and provide audiences with an inviting entry point into its world.
